It’s hard to believe that I’m already in my final week. These past 13 weeks have honestly whizzed by and I have learnt so much in this short period of time. I’d like to share my journey and convey my appreciation in this post.

I was initially offered an opportunity to interview for TriOn & Co back in March. Admittedly, I was nervous about it as I was not familiar with Public Relations (PR) and was worried about the steep learning curve. However, I bolstered up my courage and approached this opportunity with an open mind and eagerness as I knew that it would be beneficial to try something new and broaden my horizons. I relied on the transferrable skills I had learnt as a theatre studies major in NUS as I embarked on this illuminative journey.

During the internship, I was given the opportunity to immerse myself into the entire PR ecosystem. This led me to discover the multi-layered nature of this line of work and how diverse it can be. I sent out my first press release, went to my first networking event and took part in my first business pitch presentation. Every day was different from the last as I was presented with novel and interesting tasks – this kept work refreshing and non-monotonous. That doesn’t even account for the wide array of clients that we worked with, which further diversifies the daily happenings. It makes each day special and gives me occasions to look forward to. On top of all that, I also learnt more about myself and how I work. I’m still in the process of becoming more confident and I’m very fortunate to have 3 extremely supportive bosses to aid me in that process.

It has been a fulfilling experience working with and learning from the reliable and welcoming trio. They have shared so much knowledge over the past 3 months and have given me many opportunities to learn and discover the various facets of PR. Nothing was too daunting knowing that the 3 of them were simply a message away.

I’d like to thank Charu for her cheerful disposition and insurmountable wisdom that taught me to be self-assured. I’d also like to thank Marion for her invaluable guidance and constant support that strengthened my confidence across the various tasks. I’d especially like to thank Joel, who offered his insightful advice, abundant encouragement and earnest effort to not only teach me, but to learn more about me. They’ve all helped me feel more comfortable in a space that I once felt was alien. I don’t think I would’ve been able to learn this much in such a short period of time without the guidance of these 3 veterans.

It’s a shame that my journey at TriOn is coming to an end but I’m truly grateful for all that I’ve learnt and experienced. From the bottom of my heart, thank you TriOn & Co for inviting me into your space and nurturing my growth. I look forward to seeing y’all again!

#TriOn&Co #PR #PublicRelations

[9

post-1719","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-our-thoughts-and-updates
["GET
